How To Wash Your Car Exterior

The exterior of a car contains its wheels, mirrors, and front as well as a back portion. It is very important that your car exterior is not hot due to parking in sunlight or it should be cool. Always use certified formulated cleaner or mixture to clean and wash the body and wheels of your car. The followings different parts are essential steps of washing a car.

Part1.

Preparing to clean and wash Car.

First of all, park your car in the shady areas if it is hot. Although it may take 20 to 30 minutes for being cool down, it preserves the shining of your car’s color. Arrange a car cleanser, soft sponge, tire cleaner, and two buckets. These items are essential for washing the exterior as well as the interior of your car. One buck will be used for making your cloth or sponge wet and the other will be for rinsing that cloth or sponge.

Part2

Washing and cleaning the Body.

Use a hose for rinsing your car. Before applying the soap, do not forget to rinse the surface of the car. It is important to clean debris and loose dirt for being safe from scratches. Put the pressure on the hose for removing hard debris and dirt. Keep in mind that high pressure can damage your car paint or wax. Divide your car into sections for cleaning and washing. Make sure to clean one section with water completely before starting the next section; it will prevent soap from drying. Apply the scrub in a straight up and down motion and avoid circular motion. Never let your car air dry.

Part3

Washing the Wheels.

Make a cleaner or mixture with water into buckets. Your cleaner must be safe for wheels' health. Always avoid those cleaners which contain caustic and acid as well as the surface of wheels. There should be two buckets one for cleaning and the other should be for rinsing the sponge. Once the wheels of your car are cleaned then rinse with water. The next step is to dry the wheels with a soft cloth.

Part4

Waxing your Car.

Apply a sufficient amount of polish or wax on your pad and rub the pad straight up and down position on the exterior of your car. Avoid applying the wax or polishing in a circular motion. Make sure the layer of wax should be thin rather than thick. Otherwise, it may draw lines and scratches on the body of your car. Let the wax or polish dry before buffing it, this may bring more shining and brightness to your car.

The number plate and window mirrors are part of the exterior look and these must be washed and shine. Otherwise, all the labor of washing and cleaning would be useless. Therefore, mirrors of window and number plate must be washed carefully. The window mirrors should be washed with water directly then use polish or spry to shine the window mirror. Rub the window mirrors with soft tissue paper or soft cloth. However, the number plate should be washed with soap and water. Use the cloth for drying it.
